Bench Services


  • Rebuilding Carburetors – Disassemble carburetor, clean carburetor, chase threads, surface mating flanges, re-bush the bodies, install new (STD or OVER SIZE) shafts, highly polish and clean, match air pistons, buff all brass lineages, replace gaskets, replace jets, replace needles
  • Rebuilding Distributors – Disassemble distributor, replace rotor, replace cap, replace points, replace condenser and lead, replace springs if needed, check mechanical and vacuum advance
  • Rebuilding Kingpins – Clean, magna-flux, paint, install bushings, ream and fit
  • Rebuilding Brake Calipers – Disassemble the brake caliper, clean, surface the mating flanges, fit new pistons, new bleeders, and paint caliper
  • Rebuilding Cylinder Heads – Disassemble the cylinder head, examine the cylinder head for cracks and warping, pressure testing, resurface the head, intake and exhaust valves machined or replaced, valve springs tested, intake and exhaust guides
  • Rebuilding Engines – Disassemble the engine, both the cylinder head and the engine block, examine both head and block for cracks and warping, rebuild the head as above, degrease block, bore and hone cylinders, replace freeze plugs, camshaft, lifters, plugs, o-rings, gaskets, studs, cotters, shims, tappets, crankshaft machined and balanced, bushings, oil seals, bolts, nuts, washers, sprockets, oil thrower, connecting rods refurbished and balanced, main bearings, rod bearings, cam bearings, timing chains, gears, timing tensioners, distributor drive spindle and housing, pistons, piston rings, flywheel resurfaced or lightened, ring gear replaced if needed, oil pump, lock tabs and any other parts needing replacement, engine balancing once the engine has been completely assembled (vehicle is required to come back after 500 miles for check)
  • Rebuilding Blocks – Disassemble the engine block, examine block for cracks and warping, degrease block, bore and hone cylinders, replace freeze plugs, crankshaft checked and balanced, bushings, oil seals, bolts, nuts, washers, connecting rods refurbished, main bearings, rod bearings, cam bearings, timing chains, timing tensioners, pistons, piston rings, oil pump, lock tabs and any other parts needing replacement
  • Rebuilding Nine Post Control Boxes – Clean electrical connections, fit new internals, and polish case
  • Rebuilding Gearboxes/Transmissions – Disassembly gearbox/transmission, inspect, replace gaskets, seals, shafts if necessary, bearings, syncros and gears if necessary
  • Rebuilding Air Pumps – Internals are replaced as necessary, unit is cleaned and painted
  • Rebuilding Starters – Replace field winding coil, brushes, pinion gear if needed, ring, springs, barrel, brackets, bushes, armature if needed, cap, solenoid, and boot as necessary, unit is cleaned and painted
  • Rebuilding Alternators – Brackets, bearings, o-rings, rotor assembly rebuilt, slip ring, stator, brush housing assembly, brushes, rectifier, regulator, cover, surge protector, capacitor, nuts, pulley, and fan are replaced as necessary, unit is cleaned and painted
  • Rebuilding Generators/Dynamos – Brackets, bearings, bushes, springs, oiler, brushes, armature, field coils, and terminals are replaced as necessary, unit is cleaned and painted
  • Rebuilding Hydraulic Dampers – Externally cleaned to bare metal, housings are re-bushed with bronze bushings, shafts reground and polished, cylinders and pistons are line honed and polished, double-lip seals are used to keep dirt out, valving is properly calibrated for correct bounce and rebound specs, and then painted
  • Rebuilding Wiper Motors – Disassemble the wiper motor, clean, inspect and replace the brushes and/or armature, if needed, shine the aluminum parts and repaint the black parts
  • Rebuilding Brake, Clutch, and Tandem/Dual Master Cylinders – Disassemble, clean, and replace seals, piston, springs, washers, and dust boots if necessary or by request, bore and sleeve
  • Rebuilding Racks and Pinions – Disassemble, clean and paint, replace bushings, seals, and gaiters
  • Rebuilding Wheel Cylinders – Disassemble, clean, and replace seals, boot, and any other necessary parts
  • Rebuilding Slave Cylinders – Disassemble, clean, and replace seals, boot, and any other necessary parts
  • Rebuilding Steering Racks – Disassemble, clean, and replace boots, seals, shims, tie rod ends, and any other necessary parts
