Mechanical Repairs
Brake System
- Rear Brakes – Rebuild or replace wheel cylinder, fit new hub oil seals, new shoes, turn drums, hand brake adjustment, bleed and adjust
- Front Brakes – Replace the rotors, pads, hub seals, and properly shim and grease the wheel bearings
- Brake Hydraulics – Wheel and master cylinders are removed, inspected, and rebuilt, or replaced. All brake lines are inspected and replaced if necessary. If the car has a brake booster, it is inspected, and rebuilt of replaced if needed or by request
Suspension and Steering
- Front Suspension – Disassemble front suspension, rebuild and/or replace kingpins, A-Arms, bushings, seals, and bolts as needed, coil springs can also be replaced at this time, all parts are Magnafluxed cleaned and painted
- Rear Suspension – Disassemble rear suspension, replace all bushings, seals, o-rings, and rubber parts, other parts may need to be replaced as per inspection of the rear suspension, all parts are cleaned and painted. Ring and Pinion changes are done per customer’s request. These are upgrades and we will discuss a price with you
- Leaf Springs – Pull leaves apart, replace bushings and pads, replace any bad springs, and reassemble
- Ball Joints – Inspect for end play, if needed, remove and rebuild or replace, as required or by request
- Shocks – Removed old shocks, rebuild them if possible or replace them with new shocks
- Axle – Remove the drive axle and replace the bearings, pinion, and gears as needed or by request
- Tie Rod – Remove and replace tie rod ends
- Alignment – Align the wheels/steering/suspension
Transmission, Clutch, and Drive Train
- Clutch Disc and Pressure Plate – Engine and/or transmission is removed, the clutch assembly is replaced, and the engine and/or transmission is then reinstalled. Earlier clutches are rebuildable
- Clutch Hydraulics – Remove master cylinder and replace with new (or could be rebuilt, see bench services)
- Replace Gearbox Mounts – Removed and replaced with new mounts
- Replace/Repair Driveshaft – Remove the driveshaft and replace it with a new one, or repair the driveshaft (if not damaged). We also offer driveshaft balancing
- Release Bearing – Engine and/or Transmission is removed and then the release bearing is replaced
- Transmission Rebuilding – The transmission is removed and inspected. All internal parts are removed and examined. Damage parts are then replaced and the transmission is reassembled. The transmission is bench tested and then installed. Once installed the vehicle it is tested and then driven
- Transmission Replacement – The transmission is removed and replaced with a new or rebuilt unit
- Transmission Upgrades – The transmission is removed and an upgraded transmission is installed. The upgraded transmissions are available for many cars. A FIVE SPEED WILL SAVE YOU MONEY AND MAKE YOUR CAR LAST LONGER
- Transmission Fluid/Filter Change – Fluid is removed from the transmission, the filter is then replaced, and transmission fluid is then put into the transmission
Engine Internals
- Cylinder Head(s) Rebuilding/Replacement – The cylinder head(s) are removed from the engine and then disassembled and inspected. If the cylinder head(s) are still good they are machined, and internal components are replaced. If the cylinder head(s) are no longer useable new or used ones are available. If a used one is wanted it must be machined and the internal components replaced. If a new one is wanted, the options are given for what is available and then the customer chooses. New cylinder heads can come with or without the internal parts. Once reassembled the cylinder heads are reinstalled and everything is tested
- Engine Block Rebuilding/Replacement – The cylinder head(s) are removed and then the engine block is removed and inspected. If the block is useable it is machined and internal components are replaced. If the block is not useable then a new or used block must be purchased. If a used block is purchased then it must be machined and all new internal parts installed. If a new block is purchased it may be purchased with or without the internal components. It may also come with or without the cylinder head(s).Once the engine is reassembled it is then reinstalled into the vehicle and tested
- Replace Camshaft – Stock and modified camshafts are available. The cam, lifters, chain, tensioners, front seal, gaskets, oil and filter are replaced, and the engine is tuned
- Tappets and Push Rods – Are inspected and replaced as needed or by request
- Rocker Shaft and Arms – Are inspected and replaced as needed or by request
- Guides – Are inspected and replaced as needed or by request
- Exhaust/Intake Valves – Are inspected and replaced as needed or by request
- Replace Crankshaft – Stock and modified crankshafts are available. The pistons, rings, push rods, bearings, seals, pulley, timing equipment, flywheel, tappets, oil pump, oil filter and crankshaft are inspected and replaced if needed. If a modified crankshaft is request, the engine may need, upgraded parts installed
- Pistons – The cylinder head(s) and oil pan are removed and the pistons are then removed and inspected. The cylinders are then measured to insure the proper piston size. New pistons and rings are installed and the engine is reassembled and tested
- Rings – A bore scope is used to check the cylinders, the cylinder head(s) and oil pan are removed and the pistons and rings are then removed and inspected. (Pistons may need to be replaced at this point) The cylinders are then measured to insure the proper rings. New rings are installed and the engine is reassembled and tested
- Timing Equipment –Inspected and replaced as needed or by request
- Main Bearing – Are inspected and replaced as needed or by request
- Rods and Rod Bearings – Are inspected and replaced as needed or by request
- Sprocket – Are inspected and replaced as needed or by request
- Ring Gear – Are inspected and replaced as needed or by request
- Gaskets – All gaskets are inspected for leaks and if needed, replaced, or by request
- Bushing – All bushings are inspected and replaced as needed or by request
Engine Externals and Accessories
- Replace Water pump – Remove and replace the water pump
- Replace/Repair Radiator – Remove the radiator and replace it with a new one or have the old one repaired (if not damaged)
- Replace Alternator – Remove and replace the alternator
- Replace Starter – Remove and replace the starter
- Gaskets – All gaskets are inspected for leaks and if needed replaced or by request
- Plugs – All plugs are inspected for leaks and if needed replaced or by request
- Oil Pump – Recommended when replacing the engine. Some oil pumps can be rebuilt; most can be replaced and/or upgraded
- Front Cover – Checked for leaks. Cover is removed and checked for warping, if warped the front cover is replaced. Gaskets and seals are also replaced
- Valve Cover – Restored to show quality, re-chromed or painted, or replaced with polished, engraved, quick release, ribbed, textured, with crest, without crest, painted, chrome, cast aluminum, or alloy valve cover(s). New gasket(s) are installed
- Emissions – Emissions system is inspected for leaks, and may have a computer hook-up to check for codes. Parts are replaced as needed
Fuel System
- Replace Fuel/Petrol Tank – Remove the old fuel tank and replace it with a new one, external fuel tanks are paint to vehicle color or customer’s color pick
- Replace Fuel/Petrol Sending Unit – Remove and replace the fuel sending unit
- Replace Fuel Pump – Remove and replace the fuel pump
- Replace Fuel Lines – inspect fuel lines, remove and replace bad fuel lines
Exhaust System
- Exhaust Replacement – The exhaust system is removed and replaced with a new system
- Exhaust Repair – Inspect, remove, and replace necessary exhaust parts
Rear End Assembly
- Differential Clunk – Replace the differential or; ring and pinion gears
- Ring & Pinion – Removing and replacing the ring and pinion gears
- Axle – Remove the old axle(s) and install new stock or upgraded axles
- Hub – Remove the old hubs and rebuilt or replace them. When replacing hubs they can be converted to a knock-off, if available
Electrical
- Ignition – Check and repair all the wiring and components for the ignition system, replace any parts that are bad
- Component Wiring – Check and repair all of the wiring and components in the electrical system
- Wiring Harness – photograph the old wiring harness, then remove the old wiring harness, and a new wiring harness is then installed
